  • Calcium pill , Final preparations

     

    wow the day has almost come .... the last 5km race for this year is tmw !!!

    Breakfast

    didn't eat cuz she couldn't find the farina and thought that there wasn't any more. I slept anyways I soon awoke to have the feeling that id overslept but then when i checked my cell it was only 6:45am. I got up and went to go into the hallway and did some photos the ones i wanted to do yesterday since it was special cuz it was the last day of my training. I did that and then got everything ready to go do the laundry not before dusting the floor in my room cuz it was getting dusty and triggering my allergies. I finished and went back to sleep for 1 1/2 hrs it went by soo fast it soon was time to get up so i got up at 12pm and began getting ready. I went to go wash my face first before starting anything else. By the time i was done with that it was 1pm. I went back to my room and finalized my race day outline i did. When it was 2pm i went downstairs to the basement to do 1 load of laundry it was supposed to be 2 but i decided to do 1 cuz the other one wasn't fully ready i will do that one on sunday. I talked with the lady that lives in our block i didn't realize that i was missing my chance for the first epsom bath so when she left to go get drier sheets i came back home it was 3:30pm I quickly logged in online and at the same time prepared the bathtub after washing it. I got ready to take the first epsom bath at 4pm. While taking the epsom bath i shaved one of my arms like i always do to make it smooth ( the one that i wear my monitor on ) the left. When i was done at 5pm i rinsed out my ears and went to go eat late lunch

    then i cleaned off the dust at 6pm and at 7pm watched Chuck till 8pm. When that was done i went to take the second epsom bath and the last one for today. I cleaned my nails at the same time. At 9pm i went to go eat dinner

     

     

     

    till 9:30pm and then finally took a shower, stretch and paint my nails.

    I hoped to be in bed by 10pm.

    I won't be online tonight cuz i have to wake up really early to get ready cuz my race is tmw morning at 9am. I will post all review of the race tmw night ( hopefully ) i will try to post all the reviews from all the races soon so keep checking back i first want to finish writing them on paper before writing it on here.

  • Calcium pill, Packet pickup, Last Race training day for the year !, race day preparations.

    breakfast

    1 bowl of oatmeal with strawberry jam

    1 serving of kefir blueberry smoothie

    I cleaned up after she left and then went back to sleep hoping to get some good sleep but that didn't happen i woke up at 9:30am and decided to get a head start on everything i planned. I snacked as well

    I began washing my face not after i did some photos of the stuff i got first. Then i began getting ready. It was now after 12. I went to go wash my face luckily not the whole thing so it would take shorter than normal. When i was done with that i went to go shave that took a while and finished after 2pm. I hand washed some things i used for the trainings that ill no longer need. I also organized in my room what goes where. By the time i was done with all of that it was 3:30pm so i got ready to go to the store for my accessories last min for my race thats the day after tmw. I needed to be back by 5pm. I hurried over to the discount store while on my way... it was really windy and i had a feeling that i wasn't going to be able to train tonight. I really wanted to cuz it was going to be the last day of training for the year !!!

    I went to this small shop to get 1 item i needed which was glue for my training shoes i used in 2009. Luckily they had it so i bought it and went to the discount store next door from it. I first looked around as to what i might want to use. there were some other things i wanted to buy but i was focused on getting the race stuff. I picked out the first 2 items what i planned on buying and looked for a 3rd i was going to buy another set of the ones i bought for the previous race i did recently cuz i lost some on the course lol. By then last min i found some bells so i took those the ones i planned on buying were sold out the week when i went to go buy the ones for the other race. I looked around some more at what i want to buy the next time i come back to this store. I checked the time it was almost 5pm ! so after paying i rushed out and hurried back i took a short cut instead of the long way.

    When i came back she was already here so we greeted and talked about how it went at work. Instead of getting ready to leave she wanted as usual to eat so i had to stay and eat. i knew i wanted to be back by 8:30pm to train one last time. I unpacked and put everything into the pile of stuff i will use race morning. She warmed up the food so i ate.

    1/2 apple

    1 pork chop

    rice

    1 calcium pill

    1 salad

    1/2 of her doughnut glazed

    Next she took a short break and looked though the ads time was running out and i kept having to remind her that i want to be back to train and have other things to do. She got ready to go. I grabbed what i needed and almost 7pm we walked to the bus stop but the longer distance one. It was coming so we took it and rode to Sports Authority. Luckily we only had to take 1 bus. Unknown to us what was about to happen.....

    I needed to pee and there wasn't a place around with a bathroom in sight so when we got there i decided to ask. She pointed to one in the middle of the aisle. Then came the shocking truth when we asked about the packet pickup she told us that.... the location was changed ! we were all like what ???

    I went to go use the bathroom and came back out she gave us the location and from what we could tell it was harder to get there than we thought.  We decided to try to find it. We frantically went from bus to bus trying to find it but without any success grrr ! she told me that shes going to go tmw.

    Nice ! now im without a race bib and chip

    It was getting late and we knew it we wouldn't make it anyways so we headed back home. We took a different route.

    When we got home it was 9pm so i quickly changed out and decided to train one last time for the year. I wanted to be back by 11pm actually before. I grabbed what i needed, i drank 1/2 of the bottle of water and went to go stretch i stretched as good as i can. by the time i was done it was almost 10pm so i headed out the door.

    Once on the corner i set my water bottle down and walked around for a short warmup before running. It took a while cuz i waited for a song to play. When it finally did i ran ... I was doing another miler since its time to taper cuz theres 2 days till race.

    as i ran it felt great but not as great as previous days only cuz of the wind. I did the best i could so far so good no stops. just when i was nearing the end this huge surge of energy went through me and i just powered twards the finish heck if only i can pull that off saturday. Finally ... yay! i did it flawless finish !

    1 mile

    I yelled out yes and celebrated the whole way down to the end of the corner haha. I drank the rest of my water and walked around for a cool down. I had to come back cuz it was after 10 and going on 11pm so i came back home.

    She warmed up the food so i ate hoping to be done in time to clean but that didn't happen i ate through my mixes.

    I waited for my mix to play and when it played i was careful enough not to miss any intros so far so good no misses or mistakes. It finished and i knew it that it was flawless so i began to take everything down that deals with running. awww ! i put it in piles. I have a huge stack of darks that i need to wash tmw and 4 pairs of shoes.

    I put my outfit together and went online to check my email. I decided to check the website to see if they have it posted and sure enough i was right i was soooooo pissed cuz they should have sent us an email note about the change of adress for the pickup. not only that but i found out that there are no more packet pickups and yet there were 3 so now its a game of risk... I have to pick up my packet race day !!!!!

    I posted this update and went to sleep slightly out of schedule. Hoping to get up early to get things done... tmw is the day!

  • unexpected break day #3, Running jacket ?

    Breakfast

    1 bowl of oatmeal with soymilk and strawberry jam

    When she left i was going to go back to sleep but i had to clean up the mess she made like she always does. When i was done i went back to my room and filled in my log from my recent race that i had on my heart rate watch. By the time i was done it was 7am. I grabbed something more to eat for breakfast and ate

    1 rice cake with farmer cheese

    1/2 apple

    I went back to sleep but i couldn't sleep cuz the pressure points in my shoulder and back hurt and created tension instead of sleeping i went to go brush my teeth and then afterwards finally washed my face from sundays makeup. I finished at 11am and then went back to sleep this time i was able to sleep. I ended up oversleeping and heard her come in she was suprised to see me sleeping. It was now 5:30pm grrr ! not only that but i planned on going to subways since it was wednesday so that meant subway day. That didn't happen it would be one of the last 2 subway days for the year. I ended up not going cuz it rained heavily. I slept in till 7pm and woke up to eat late late lunch. We greeted and talked about how it went at work. It was getting late luckily she bought some food so i waited till it was done. By the time it was ready i had to watch at 8pm so i watched Criminal minds and law and order special victims unit.

    By the time it was done it was 10pm so we watched the news. I finished watching and went back to my room to clean off the dust. I was done by 12 am. I organized in my room and planned out tmw. Im putting all my training stuff away tmw. I went online to check my email, post this update. I checked online for a running jacket and was really happy to find it in the store that i wanted it to have.

    I stayed online for a while till it was time to log off and go to sleep as planned. I updated the rest of my running log so that i can upload it to my mp3 player. Im picking up my packet tmw. It will be a very busy day tmw, soooo much to do.

  • Race training day #4

    Breakfast

    1 bowl of oatmeal with soymilk

    1 serving of the rest of the cherry kefir, also had 1 serving of blueberry kefir as well

    1/2 golden apple

    1 banana

    had #2 before going to sleep after she left hoping to get up early to get things done. i went to sleep around 6:30am only cuz i did some photos of my race results from my heart rate watch.

    Soon enough it was time to get up but yet again i overslept and heard her come in i kept sleeping so by the time i did wake up it was 6:30pm wow ! i got up and went to go eat late late lunch. I greeted and talked about how it went at work.

    1 bowl of vegetable soup

    some pieces of apple

    Then she went to the stores so i hung around and soon enough got ready to log one of the last 3 days of training. I knew that it was planned that it was going to heavily rain on wednesday so i made a decision to do a 1 1/2 miler tonight in case that does happen cuz i already missed 2 days of training and i was supposed to do 8. I got ready to go today was much warmer so i didn't have to layer too much but did anyways. I grabbed what i needed and cleared my sinuses before stretching. I wanted to leave about 8:30pm but that didn't happen i wanted to be back by 9pm to watch my show i knew i will end up missing the first half. She still hadn't come so i got ready. I stretched as good as i can so that i don't encounter any problems i couldn't have any tension or soreness going. I felt that this was a good stretch. I put on my accessories and soon headed out the door almost 9pm about 8:40pm.

    Once on the corner i drank 1/2 of my water like i always do and noticed that it was drizzling haha at least not raining. I started my mp3 player and listened to the song countdown on the radio instead of using my playlist i haven't done that this year at all. when ready i ran..... I ran the first lap. wow ! i was amazed at the speed i had coming into this first turn and wondered where did all that speed come from not that im slow or anything but it was more speed than normal i could barely catch up. Finally i learned how to run midfoot and not to do a heel strike. It felt incredible !!! I didn't conserve i just gave it all ive got. I wanted to make the best of it. I then did the next 2 laps without any problem. When i finished... wow ! i yelled out yes ! and grabbed my bottle and walked around for a cool down i drank from the bottle after i cought my breath.

    i walked half way cuz there was not enough time to do the whole way. I was missing like 10 min of my show so i hurried back home just in time. She still wasn't back so i began watching and it turns out it just started cuz i saw the begining credits. I think i did miss some. The show was halfway done when she came. i finished watching Body of Proof and wanted to go back outside to walk it off but i ended up staying in only because it began raining luckily not heavily. I looked in her bag at what she bought and found out she bought a bag of munchkins so i ate

    i waited for dinner when it was done i ate

    I hoped to be done by 11pm but that didn't happen and ran out of time to clean. grr ! I hung around till 12am and went online to check my email, update my calendar and post this update. I got ready for tmw cuz tmws not only subway day ( aww last 2 subway days ) but also packet pickup ( also last one for the year )

    while i updated i grabbed some more to eat and ate

    I finished online hoping to go to sleep as planned. I finished and went to sleep as planned. Hoping she wakes me up to eat breakfast. I will try to work on the entry tmw. I only have 2 weeks left and there's still a lot to do plus get ready for new years.

  • unexpected break day

    Breakfast

    1 bowl of oatmeal with soymilk

    I went back to bed after she left hoping to get some sleep but i just couldn't sleep cuz the noise in the morning kept me up i grabbed some more to eat. Instead i stayed up and began looking for things i need for race day. I put some things back to where they should be cuz i won't be using it any more. It took a few hours. I found out that the bags that i used for lining the inside of the drawers began disintegrating so i had to take everything out, re organize and put a new one in it made a lot of mess.

    I wanted to work on the delinquent entries but i ended up having to take care of this. By the time i was done getting things ready for race day it was already 3pm ! so i got ready to go to the store and also to get 2 copies of my race photos. I packed up what i would need and got dressed i felt that it was chilly so i layered. I wanted to be back by the time she comes. Soon enough i headed out and was shocked to find out that it was mild grrr ! I was sooo looking forward to training tonight.

    I got to the stores and went first to see if they have the new issue of my running mag they did so i took it and went to the first store i planned on going to. I looked around the christmas section to see what i was going to use for my christmas last race of the year. I planned it out in my head. Next i looked around for a gift for someone in my moms work. I knew that she misses her cats a lot so i looked for something that would help keep them in her memory. It took a while but then to my surprise i found a different item better than the one i planned on getting her. I took it and looked around some more. finally i went to go pay and left to walgreens for the next 2 items. I will be back to that store this week to buy the items i need for race day for my outfit.

    I went to walgreens and first paid for the item that i needed haha a pack of energy gels for saturdays race. I paid and was going to go to the kiosk to get 2 photos but someone was at the one that i usually go to so i had to use the other one which i rarely use. I picked out the best one, added borders to it and added text. It looked really cool. I sent the order and waited for it to print. When it did i paid and came back home to find that she'd come but i also at the same time missed my mix. It was time to eat late lunch so i ate :

    I talked about how it went at work and she revealed the sad news that one of the patients died awww we talked about the reason why. I also looked through my new running mag. It was getting late so i went to go rest for a while and ended up falling asleep i overslept ! and woke up at 10pm ! grrrr ! she was supposed to wake me up for me to go training so i ended up not training tonight grrr ! I was sooo pissed cuz this was the second day. I have 3 more days left of training for the year. I got up to eat dinner and listen to my mixes luckily i didn't miss them i could have. I began cleaning off the dust too while i ate and listened hoping to be done by the time my mix comes but that didn't happen instead i cleaned through them. I made sure not to miss an intro so far so good i haven't missed any but they were said last min. When it was done i was done so i put up the new race photos on my board. I then went to go online, check my email, post this update.

    I logged off and went to sleep as planned hoping to get up early to get things done.
